Monthly Roll Call Notice

Every month we will require our members to reply to a ROLL CALL. This is to keep tabs on active members, and weed out those who are no longer active. ROLL CALL announcements come with ample warning, normally 1 week prior to the ROLL CALL. Always at the beginning of any given month members who are active in the forums will have ample time to comply.

1) You will have up to four days to reply. On the 5th day the topic will be locked. If your name appears on the followup list because you failed to make the ROLL CALL you will be on probation and possibly lose your Rights as a ROC member. You will be required to meet with the ROC Recruiter and admins to discuss the situation. Those who want to be here will make an effort those not making some kind of effort will make room for those who want to be part of the team.

2) Excuses, Leave of Absence or Other during the beginning of the Month must be dealt with before hand. 99% of the time you know you will be away before hand. Keep that in mind before ROLL CALL. Not remembering or forgetting isn't an excuse. Posting in another forum about it doesn't excuse you! We Understand Life can get in the way but, think ahead!

-Those who do have an excuse or other reason before Roll Call will get a "AdminPass" in List. What this means is after Roll Call when we generate the Month List, A person will be added in with AdminPass.

IN ORDER to get an "AdminPass" you must:
A] Talk with the Roll Call Manager and/or Administrator (We prefer your start with the ROLL Call Manager first.) ShoGuN is ROLL CALL Manager
B] DO so BEFORE Roll Call for that month!
C] Abusing The AdminPass is grounds for removal from ROC.

3) Any ROC Member missing 2 months in a row will be removed from the ROC and possibly account removal. This applies Strictly to a ROC member, NOT a General Guest, general guests do not wear the ROC Tags

4) League Players for any Game that the ROC plays who miss Roll Call WILL NOT be allowed to play. If caught playing you will be removed from ROC so think ahead!

5) If your Tags have been removed because your missed Roll Call, You have the chance to get back in but, must RE-APPLY to the join thread and go through the process again to become a member. As a previous member you should know what you have to do. Reapplication DOES NOT guarantee Membership

6) These Roll Call Rules are Non-negotiable and may be subject to change.

·  What is the history of ROC?

History of The ROC 1997 - Current

1997

It all started around 1997 in Lexington Kentucky, when KyRoS and VanHagar began playing a turn based artillery game called Scorched Earth. We were roommates at the time and spent any extra time playing video games. We built some computers and started playing anything the industry offered. As we bumped our awesome boxes up to 128mg RAM and 32Mg video cards, 56k modems started us on the path of online gaming. Kingpin- A life of crime came out in 1999 and to us was the most spectacular bloody and violent game on the market. We created a two computer LAN running wires along the ceiling to connect our boxes. DSL soon followed and our online gaming experience really took off. We played Kingpin every chance we could and decided as many others to put TAGS before our names to help identify each other in battle. We sat on the couch one day killing brain cells tossing several names in the air before KyRoS in his altered state of mind spewed Realm Of Chaos from within, simply by describing our bachelor surroundings. The {ROC} tag was born.

Soon after, with other close friends being envious of our playtime, we ran additional wires along the ceiling of our house, and added a few other computers to the LAN. DrFeelgood and Maniac, became the next members of the Realm. Our talent in virtual killing was being noticed by the Kingpin community as {ROC} members started topping the scoreboard.

Other clans began popping up offering members a website for them to chat and introduce themselves; we thought this was a great idea. We sat down and hashed out a game plan for a web site of our own. Realm-of-chaos.com was born. Adding some personal info about our members, offering a place to discuss the game we did something a little extra. Kingpin Killaz was a link where players could send in real mug shots of themselves so people could see who was killing who. We spent a great deal of time talking to people in order to get their self pics, and before we knew it we had over a hundred Killaz listed. Our website started generating a huge amount of traffic as other players would come to the Realm to see real pictures of the peeps they were playing against. With this traffic {ROC} was one of the most popular and respected clans of the Kingpin community. By the year 2000 we had around 25 solid players, playing in both league matches and clan scrims, but the realm was about to change.

VanHagar moved to Texas, got married, and Kingpin began giving way to the next generation of online games. Leaving behind some of my best friends was tough, but by now the internet was keeping people in touch and clans together. Fortunately, in Texas were some other High school friends who also on their own, had been playing online games. When introduced to the Realm they instantly joined.

2001

2001 brought Return to Castle Wolfenstien online and became the clans next big interest. A resurgence in the Realm began. Big_Dawg, EmanTama and Maffu, all real life friends helped in the clans re-popularity, as KyRoS and DrFeelgood got serious into Everquest and World of Warcraft our clan was diversified in several different arenas, but a game was about to be released that would reunify most all members of the {ROC}.

2002

2002 Battlefield 1942 and its mods, Battlefield Viet-Nam, Road to Rome and Desert Combat brought all members of the Realm back to clan gaming. Advancement in computer and cable connections really started making online gaming a viable way to play with people from around the world. New members were being added and new friendships made.

2005

2005... Battlefield 2 was released, and once again the members of the {ROC} changed with the time. Some members moved on, and others were added, but our TAG continued to find its way to the top of scoreboards. FantasyAssassin, Mac, SixXxShooTeR, Bad-Apple and many others joined on not only to play but to contribute to the clans development. Our web site brought visitors from around the globe as we became larger than ever.

2007

Having played over 1500hrs myself of BF2, it was time for once again for the clan to forge forward. Two new games were released, Call of Duty 4 and Team Fortress 2 have now become the clans main interests. We continue to dabble in BF2 and AIX mod

2008

Now halfway through 08' we find that {ROC} is still growing. We've added a dozen new members, and up to 4 new servers. Our COD4 division is at the top of the ladder in league play. We've changed looks and added a better voice server, showing our development as a community. TF2 and COD4 continue to be the clans' main interest, but with so many new members we play a lot of other games. Track Mania, COH and Grid are popular with the crew. Our Clan server and web site were even mentioned on public radio in AZ as a result of our gameplay. We have very a active forums where conversations of all types can be found.

2009

Now in August of 2009 I can say this has been one of the best years yet. Not only have we added a couple dozen or more members, we have assigned officers to help the ROC become more efficient, and manage duties. ILLM1ND was brought in to handle recruitment, his brother Shogun now takes care of Roll Call. Fireballed and Aris have been assigned duties as well. This was the first year for ROC to attend Quakecon. 9 members made the trek to Dallas Texas, for four days of peace love, and rockets! The clan is playing the COD series, Battlefield Heroes, and TF2. The website has been updated and upgraded to provide our members a more kick ass experience!

Friendships continue to flourish as new ones are being made. This clan has gone through its ups and downs to become what I feel is the greatest Clan I've dealt with. We look forward in watching the clans dynamic change all while taking on all challenges as true friends. For any readers of this history I leave you with this...ROC on, ROC hard, ROC forever!
